Drawn… as in “animated”. We can now officially announce that we are in production on 13 episodes of a new series, called CORNER GAS: ANIMATED, which will hit the Comedy Network in early 2018 (hopefully January).
All our regular cast is coming back to voice their characters, with the exception of Janet Wright, who sadly passed away recently. Her family has told us she would want Emma to live on, so we will be casting to find a new voice to play my character’s long suffering mother, Emma Leroy.
We made a short sample/demo that everyone involved is really happy with (it really did work out well) and we’re having a hell of a good time writing the new scripts, so we hope you all like the final product. Feel free to spread the word and tell your friends, family, co-workers, and random strangers. Again, it should start airing in January of 2018 (but well be talking before then.)

Yipeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!! I’m very much looking forward to this and so happy that Corner Gas lives on, I’ll miss your real faces but animated with voices is good, too.
And PLEASE. Whoever you pick for Emma’s voice, can you make sure it at least matches hers? It would be very awkward to have a voice that is completely different.
Although I’ll be honest… not that this is a stellar idea, perhaps, but I would incorporate her passing into the script somehow. Since the very last episode ended with ‘Despite warnings from her doctor, she remains married to Oscar”…it could I guess somehow explain her passing in the show, and maybe have her live on as a voice of reason in the background (almost like a ghost), perhaps even using her real voice through a voice splicing program.
Just an idea/thought from a big fan 🙂

It’s Tim Martindale again from Sir Laff-a-Lotts comedy club back in the 90’s hahaha . Anyways Um this is the coolest news ever, I really don’t think you quite understand how many people loved Corner Gas, I mean it’s right up there with the Mash episodes no fooling.
Anyways sad about Janet’s passing but we all have 100% faith in your to find the right voice with Corinne filling in .
